Natural Selection - Beetles

The final of three in the Natural Selection Series of software simulations.

Examine the effects of predation on subgroups within a population and the effect of population size on the viability of such groups

During this simulation your students will gain an understanding of how predation of subgroups within a population can result in a balance or imbalance between different coloured beetles.

This package features a manual which includes 3 experiments as blackline masters:
  • Natural Selection and Population Size
  • Rates of Predation
  • Changing rates of Predation
