This breeding simulation
is designed for junior and senior students and encourages the development of skills
in scientific method. As a teaching tool it may be used in a variety of
teaching strategies.
Students visually count, categorize and record the individual plants.
Making this a realistic science experience rather than a secondhand data
exercise.
Teachers now have the option to allow the students to use an auto-count system to count up to 100,000 plants in seconds.
This means that longer experiments, dihybrid and trihybrid crsooses, can be done quickly.
Student reporting is now an option - students have to fill in the number and type of plants they observed before the program allows auto-counting. This provides the teacher with a report on the students accuracy while counting.
Integrated construction kit enables new plants to be created and used as parents in seconds.

Student Mode
- Construct homozygous plants with a mutation in all Mendel's 7 plant characteristics.
Teacher
Mode
- Select up to 2 mutant genes per characteristic as heterozygous or 1
as homozygous.
Save each plant with one of 3 genotype display options:
Always:
Display the genotype of the plant during breeding, provided the teachers
has set this as an option.
Lock
Code: Only displayed after a plant's code word has been entered.
Good for classroom problem solving and practical tests.
Never:
Excellent for school or home based assignments.
